What are private lessons?
Private lessons are one-on-one instruction ranging from 30-60 minutes per week. Lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. A typical lesson includes time for music theory, sight-reading, lesson book activities and more. Students should expect to be working on various pieces at a time, and learning to read music while improving their playing skills and abilities.
What ages do you teach?
Dorrie teaches students as early as age 3, and far into adulthood. For very early beginners, please check the page regarding WunderKeys. The most wonderful aspect of private lessons is that they are able to be 100% tailored to the student's needs, goals, and capabilities.
